Mat-Su

Membership to Mat-Su Back Country Horsemen of Alaska supports our work of maintaining public use trails that are accessible for horses (and other stock animals) and education of other trail users. In 2023, our work supported:

  • Three Trail Trials in partnership with the Mat-Su 4-H Horse Program
  • Support for an Alaska representative who traveled to the National BCHA meeting;
  • The national dues of $15 per individual and $18 per family; and
  • Supporting the state Back Country Horsemen association.

Dues are only $30 for an individual, $40 for a family, or $15 for youth. Dues can be sent by PayPal (you’ll need a PayPal account but can do so here) or mailed by check to our treasurer, Francine. The form includes her address and can be downloaded as a PDF BCHA membership application Jan 2021 update. Even if you are not interested in coming to meetings or other events, please consider supporting our work at the local, state, and national level. Subscribe to our listserv by emailing backcountryhorseak+subscribe@groups.io.

If you have any questions, you can contact the President Colleen Fisk by email.

Kenai Peninsula

If you are in the Kenai Peninsula area, consider membership to the Kenai Peninsula Chapter. You can choose between a Youth Membership, Individual Membership, or a Family Membership. All of these membership options can be found on their website Membership Page. Your membership dues are important to the maintenance of the Kasilof Equestrian Trail system and the upcoming parking lot (we’re excited!) which will make access to the trails so much easier. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us via email
